Tour Highlight

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a Tanzania Safari Planners representative will meet and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha. Enjoy a relaxing evening in a quiet setting as you prepare for the thrilling safari ahead.
Drive to Tarangire National Park, a haven for elephants and home to dramatic baobab trees. Spend the day on safari through woodlands and dry riverbeds, observing zebras, lions, and over 500 species of birds. Overnight at a lodge or tented camp just outside the park.
Begin your journey into the vast Serengeti via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy game viewing along the way as you enter the endless plains. After lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive before arriving at your central Serengeti camp.
Spend the full day exploring the central Serengeti, a predator-rich region where big cats like lions and cheetahs roam freely. Depending on the season, you may witness migrating herds or predator-prey interactions around the Seronera River.
Travel deeper into the Serengeti, either north to the Mara River (July–October) or south to Ndutu (December–March) to catch the migration at its peak. Your guide will position you for the best chance to witness river crossings or calving scenes depending on the time of year.
Enjoy a full day in the heart of the migration zone. Follow wildebeest herds on the move, watch as crocodiles lie in wait at riverbanks, or observe newborn calves take their first steps. This is where the Serengeti truly comes alive.
Depart the Serengeti with a scenic drive back toward the Ngorongoro Highlands. Stop at Maasai villages or visit Olduvai Gorge for a glimpse into ancient human history. Arrive at your lodge perched on the crater rim and enjoy views of the surrounding landscape.
Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wildlife haven and one of Africa’s most scenic game drive locations. Lions, elephants, rhinos, and flocks of flamingos await you in this lush caldera. After lunch, return to Arusha where the safari ends with an airport transfer or optional overnight.
